Harry Potter

Finally caught the 4th installment of the adolescent wizard (he's growing up so quickly la). Watched it at this huge theater at Great World. And i have the tickets to prove it. It's not a stub by the way, it's the whole ticket...

Why is the ticket whole you ask?

That's cos there wasn't anyone to tear out the stub, and we just sashayed past the barricade. Cool huh...

About the show, it was totally awesome, totally a must watch movie... For those who didn't read the book that is...

For a fan of the series, i must say that i, along with everyone else out there, was sorely disappointed with this film. I mean, yea, i won't deny that the effects were spectacular and yes, there was a part where i actually teared (when Harry brought Cedric's body back to his father, did you see Cho crying?)

However, what happened to other important bits in the show? What in the name of Dumblydorrre happened to the Quidditch World Cup? I knew it would be short, but not as ridiculous as only showing Krum flying in and pummeling the air. What happened to the leprechaun throwing fake gold around, or the mini figurines of Krum, or the Veelas. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REAL MATCH AT ALL?!?! I ws so shocked that i went "THAT'S ALL?" in the theatre!

Also, it was Dolby the house elf who gave Harry the Gillyweed, not Neville. And what about discovering Rita Skeeter as an Animagus whose animal form is a ladybug? I remember that the following book has Herminone threatening her about revealing her hidden ability if she doesn't interview Harry or something. And where's the Spinx in the maze? There wasn't any mention about Fleur being half Veela. And Hermione was supposed to have undergone this huge transformation at the Yule Ball, straightened her hair, shrank her teeth. Instead, we just saw her in a nice dress with more makeup.

Gosh, if the producers have any grey matter between them, they would have sold the movie in 2 parts. That way, they would earn more and everyone would be satisfied. Would you watch part 1 and skip part 2 even if it was bad?

I wouldn't.

This entry is a little overdue, but yea, i finally got the nano!

Went to this place called FTMS House to collect it. The booth looked so temporary, with boxes of freebies like printers and other iPods strewn around, that it wasn't until we approached them to ask for directions did we realise that that was THE redemption counter itself.

The days that followed were filled with frenzied shopping to get some accessory or the other for my newfound toy. In the end i got a USB charger so that i can charge the friggin thing without a com and a nice pale green silicon case to protect it. I heard that it's so small that it could snap. I shudder to think about it. Next up is to find a nice carrying case/pouch for it.

I'm currently using the little black case which used to house my old toy.

Which i passed on to dear Colin. Poor thing, his own black muvo got stolen in camp. May the ears rot off the fucker who took it.

Yes, i sold out. I gave up the functionality of Creative, with it's radio/voice recorder and durability, and instead went for the simple chic of the iPod.

I am now a walking apple advert. Literally.

What can i say? I've been wanting to do something like that since the stupid multicoloured apple ads came on tv. And on mags. And on the walls of the escalator at City Link.

It's not just a music player, its a lifestyle.

I just wanna get my iPod and get on with afterlife.

I wish my fairy godmother will decend from the heavens to grant me all my heart's desires... *gaze longingly skyward*

But then again, who needs fairy godmothers when i have such nice and loving friends like you guys? *bat eyelashes coyly at you*

As i said, i went window shopping that day and yea, i saw some stuff to die for.

Topman@Paragon had the most handsome wallet!

it's $23 and i want it! *wails*

Ok, the name might leave something to be desired, but that's what it is, a green straped wallet! It not only has multiple compartment for cards, but also a coin compartment, something with my present wallet lacks! The elastic strap makes the otherwise plain looking wallet look chic, although it reminds me of those small black army issued notebooks during my BMTC times.

Mambo@Heeren has the cutest little brown sling bag, although it's more of middle sized than really tiny. I realise i really need a bag of that size as all my bags are like gargantuan, the kind that will only fill up if you put in the latest Harry Potter book along with all your neccessities. I couldn't find a picture of the bag, but it seems to be very popular as the only piece i saw was on the mannequin in the store. The bag goes for $75.

Zara@Takashimaya had this beautiful green shirt, but after much deliberation, i decided that it wasn't something i really wanted.

Going into the biggest Apple Center@Wheelock's Place was the biggest mistake in my life. I was dazzled by everything white and black in there.

iPod nano skins for $19.90!

USB power adapter for $54!

And this is off the US Apple website.

"Practically invisible, the Shield protects without sacrificing your iPod nano style and without the bulkiness of other covers. This simple snap on/off design delivers a force field of protection for your iPod. Its unique features allow easy access to all of the iPod connectors and hold switch; even dock without taking your nano out of the case."

I think this one have to order online la... Bah! I want!

This concludes my wishlist. For now.

Considering my financial status presently, anyone would have told me it was a bad idea to go window shopping today.

But unfortunately, i went, i saw and now i desire.

Once i get hold of pictures of what i want, i'll create a wishlist. Then you rich people reading this can get ur fingers of your mouse and into your wallets and buy me some presents!

Yay!

First on my wishlist would definitely be this baby.

But i know no one in their right minds would buy one for me, so i'll get it for myself! Anyone needs a sugarboy right now? Or is that sugarson?

My blog is worth $7,903.56.
How much is your blog worth?

I wish it's really worth so much, cos i'm so so broke right now.

But that's cos i'm gonna go to Bangkok with Colin for a break in December! As of now, the plane tickets have been settled, but the hotel appears to be fully booked. I hope we dun have to sleep on the streets. Maybe can go hole up with the transvestites, then in return i perform with them or something.

I remember when i was very young (pri school i think), my family and i went to Phuket and we went to watch a drag show. Gosh, there was this freakishly ugly one who would play this game of throwing his her teddy bear into the audience and whoever caught it had to give her a kiss. I remember ducking under my seat whenever she was about to throw. I also remembered urging my father and uncle not to catch it at all costs!

Anyway, my com is still slightly fucked right now, so bear with me... I hope to convince my dad to upgrade to a faster internet plan, so that i can get the free nano that comes with it! haha.

I'm cheap la...
