Oh Oh!

Have you tried this?

>>>Crush Calculator<<<

It calculates your crushes by name and it's quite accurate...

Excuse Me.

I was waiting for the traffic light to turn green so that i could cross the road when a weird man came up to me.

Weird man: *Mumble mumble*

Me, taking out my earphones: What?

Weird man: Are you a regular?

Me, feeling indignant: No.

Weird man: Oh so you're an NSman.

Me: Er, yea...

Weird man: Do you have any insurance?

Me: ... Yes.

Weird man: Ok.

And i walked away.

The insurance industry appears to be going downhill. Targetting random people waiting for the traffic lights to change is a desperate call for help.

My Maid AWOLed

Ari, my maid for around 2 years went home because she had been worrying for her family since the Indonesia earthquake.

Wini came to replace her.

3 days later, i was awoken by some commotion coming from outside my room. When my dad walked past the doorway, i called out to him.

"Eh, what happened ar?"

"The maid ran away liao..."

I was still in a daze from just having woken up and so thought nothing of it. Plus my dad is a joker so i wasn't sure if he was kidding or not. I waited for him to tell me the actual reason but he just walked off.

I pulled myself out of bed and went to check it out for myself. Turns out she's really GONE!

I was stunned! The clothes from the previous night were in a mess and there was still bowls left unwashed. And she's packed all her stuff and left without doing them first!

All this i thought indignantly.

My dad called the condo security and found out that Wini left from the side gate at 4am. Without money.

And she ended up at the Indonesian Embassy! Gracious me.

But as the Chinese saying goes, if the old doesn't leave, the new wouldn't come.

Our newest maid has been in Singapore for only 3 months and her English is damn good as compared to the many other maids we've had before her.

Also, Wini had a perpetual sad look on her face whereas this one keeps smiling and laughing!

Her name is damn cute too. Tin Tin.

Why must maids always have cutesy double syllabus names?

Our Makan Places Lost Control

Today i celebrated gluttonism.

Went down to Chinatown and snacked on prawn dumplings and fish balls, before eating Chilli Crab Sauce Spaggetti at the Singapore Heritage Restaurant (will be featured on the food blog soon). After that had fruit cocktail with sea coconut dessert at Chinatown Hawker Centre and then had some kuey thingy at People's Park Centre.

IMG_0428
I also want to ORD leh.

Walked down the ORD bridge to Meidiya at Liang Court and had Tori-Q and ice cream. Half of which got thrown away because the lime sherbet was inedible. Too bitter.

IMG_0441

Tompang fire engine from Civil Defence Heritage Centre to Eunos to look for a Mee Hoon Kuey stall which wasn't there anymore. Ended up eating prata and drinking high class milo dinosaur. High class because there was whipped cream on it.

Taxied down to Katong for laksa and otah. I think i chose wrong stall because the otah was so soft it didn't need to be chewed. Which was bad. Haagen Daaz was where chilling took place and to go to the toilet, we had to draw the toilet key from the staff. So weird. Ended up getting they key from them 3 times.

Went down to Redhill Market after that for meepok, yu sheng and chee kuey.

Aiyoh i think i lost control.

Money No Enough

I still buy this.

IMG_0399

The whole outfit is new by the way, not only the necklace.

And what's more, i'm getting myself new spectacles! Yay! JW is gonna be sooooo jealous.

I need to curb my spending, or else i'll become one of those bloggers that Jean disdains. Oh Jeeeaaaan, save me!!!

A Terminal Illness.

Called boredom led me to do this...

collage

It got quite fun after the first 3 shots.

http://www.geocities.com/junyi86/boredom.gif

I even made a gif file out of it. I'm damn bo liao. Wanted to do something cool with the photos...

But i couldn't be bothered.

This is gonna be quite an embarassment.

If you close your eyes, can you imagine Hebe singing?

Or click here, to watch JW and me making a fool out of ourselves.

Pardon us as we mangle the song, which happens to be S.H.E.'s Re Dai Yu Ling.

I bet my singing was so horrid that blood rushed outta your ears after listening to it for the first 5 seconds, effectively blocking out the sound and saving you from further brain damage.

Hope you enjoyed laughing WITH us and hopefully not AT us.

Singapore Art Museum

collage

Being at the Art Museum makes me feel arty farty... I love the bright colours and cutesy artwork...

HPIM0019

Above pictures were taken using Colin's new iPaq. It's a PDA phone with a 2 megapixel cam which sucks when there isn't enough light.

After much looking, i've finally found THE bag. Love it!

I know i'm sorta neglecting my blogging duties, and frankly speaking, i can't really be that bothered at all. So, until the next time i feel bothered enough, this site is gonna be a bore to read.

PC Show

Yes, i've finally bought the Evo speakers that my campmates were pushing me to buy.

At $55 plus a free optical mouse, i guess it's not bad...

I didn't get a webcam though! The queue at the Creative cashier stretched to the door! Disgusting! I decided that the long wait wasn't worth the $10 that i would save by buying it at the show so i left.

But not before bumping into Calvin (my xing jiao in camp) twice.

And and and and i've finally updated my GLUTTONISM blog! Go feast your eyes!

NEVER AGAIN

Shall i cut at any subsidaries of Monsoon!!!

Neither Storm nor Sandstorm shall be graced with my presence.

Neither shall i be tempted by any offers or promotions that the above mentioned are/would be having.

I am serious.

Sandstorm totally negated any Kimage effects. It's like a more expensive version of Sri Nada.

Just that instead of having that just-POPed-hair-like-fuck look, which basically means it has grown out from the botakness and into a carpet fuzz, i now have some fringe to go with the just-POPed-hair-like-fuck look.

Never under-estimate the dangers of telling your hairdresser, "I want it short."

And never stinge on haircuts!

----------

I didn't watch the results show of Singapore Idol, but don't get me wrong, i really wanted to watch, just that by some cosmic coincidence, my camp blacked out ten minutes before the show started and power was restored EXACTLY at 9pm, when the show just ended.

Anyway, the results were sooooo obvious. I didn't even need ZM to come tell me which 2 got through to know.

Sometimes, when you know, you just know. You know?

-----------

Went down to the PC show today.

I wanted to get a set of speakers and a webcam!

I wanna apologise to those who went down with me today. We practically made our home at a speaker booth while they tried to convince me to get one speaker or the other but i was reluctant either cos of the price or the size.

After an hour and 3 promoters later, i decided to come back on Sunday to buy.

They nearly killed me.
