Now that i'm nicely settled in, i can start blogging abt Bangkok. But first things first, my archives arn't working, i still have some contacts to put in and i need to change the tagboard's colour. Thats it i think.

Singapore to Bangkok-Day 1
Flight was pretty smooth, although i have to say SIA was a flop to me. All that hype about it didn't do it for me. Food, YUc. Games, YUc. The movie selection was good though, and the music was pretty hip. I watched Swimfan. Forgot i watched it before. We arrived at the hotel around evening time, can't remember what time exactly. The hotel was quite sad. Abit bigger than First World. Thats it. After that, went walk about abit and had dinner at this place that my father described as down to earth and not affected by globalisation. Ok, that was my version, but nvm. Anyway, one thing to describe the roads. Dirty. Anyway, after dinner we went back to the hotel and my dad and i went out to some night market called Papong or something. There was so many ppl soliciting sex shows or what they call "Tiger" shows. And there were so maby bars with scantily clad women dancing with poles. One particular bar we passed by, i looked in and saw the women with bored looks on their faces. It was a sight to behold. Clad in white hardly-there bikinis and holding onto poles, they were like rows and rows of mindless robots moving mechanically, waiting to please customers that walk in after paying 20 baht, which is less than S$1 by the way. Exchange rate is roughly S$1 to 23 baht. Then, my eyes got caught onto figurines of elephants which are so cute. I stopped by the stall to look at them for only a sec and this lady immediately accosted me. She whipped out the calculator and told me the price was 100 baht, but she would reduce it to 60 baht for me. I wanted to buy two so the combined cost would be 120 baht. My dad came along and asked for a further discount of 20 baht, but she said cannot, so we wanted to walk off. The lady grabbed me and said, "For you only" and she sold it to me for 100 baht. Lol, 2 for the price of 1! Me and my dad walked around somemore and i bought some CDs for 100 baht each (ard S$4) and went back to the hotel. Sleep.

Bangkok-Day 2
Woke at 5! Had a bath and went down for breakfast, the same one i'll be eating for 4 more days! After that, went with a tour group to visit some places like the floating market, purse and jewellery factories and 4 facing god temple (Shi mian fuo). Nothing much la... Floating market was a bunch of baloney. Just one or two lil' boats selling wares, din buy anything, then me and my 2 bros fed the hundreds of catfish swarming our boat with bread that we bought and were splashed by their thrashing about. Just as we were complaining about the ickiness and grossness of it all, we saw some villagers swimming and bathing in the very waters. Gosh! After all that, we went to the World Trade Center there and did a spot of shopping. I bought a Nike Dri-Fit(NOT PIRATED thank you, it costs S$33) and The Da Vinci Code for only S$10! WOOT! After that, went to this place called Siam Center which was kinda like Heeren but way better. Came back to the hotel afterwards and babysitted my bros while my parents went out for night shopping. They bought back Char Quay Tiao from some roadside stall, totally different from what we get in S'pore. Finished it, read abit. Sleep.

Bangkok-Day 3
Went Dreamworold today... Its kinda like Escape Theme park but better! The place is WAY bigger(DUH) and there's more stuff like Haunted House. We went in and ascended a flight of steps and i felt something clawing me through the railings. I was the last guy la, I screamed. This high pitch yelp that i usually produce. HIt was the guy collecting tickets at the door of the haunted house. SICK MAN! Anyway, at around the middle bit, my bro started crying. He wasn't the youngest one. Went walking ard after that and i bought souvenirs and polo tees(Fake ones, yes pls). Went back to the hotel, did my thing. Sleep.

Bangkok-Day 4
Woke late, my parents went out earlier, i brought my bros to breakfast on my own. Then went back and slacked around, and went for a swim at the swimming pool. The deep end was 2m. Shiok man, can dive. I miss diving. The pool at my place is only like 1.2m deep. Sad. Anyway, after swimming for less than fifteen mins, a storm started to brew. Lightning and thunder. Cat 1! Haha. Went back to bath and went out for lunch, i can't remember where, went for a walk and went to eat crab and prawns for dinner. Not forgetting Tom Yam!!! Good stuff. Went back to hotel after that. Kinda uneventful huh. Sleep.

Bangkok back to Singapore-Last day
Woke up to breakfast, went swimming again. CAT 1 again! Jinxed. Slacked around and started packing up. Flight is at 2. Went to the Bangkok airport and had KFC. The chicken was bloody dry. I watched 50 First Dates on the plane. Couldn't finish watching it! DAMN! I wanna know how it ends! Tell me pls somebody! Anyway, the food was alright this time. Some procedures were also different from the previous flight. Seemed to me like a totally different airline. BAH!

Overall, it was quite alright la, although i'm used to going to cooler countries for holidays, so i felt damn hot throughout the trip. Haha. There's nothing much to do there but shopping actually. its shopper's paradise man. And i missed someone when i was there. That was it for my trip.
